A love for living life to the fullest and appreciating the small little details that often go unnoticed. That is what Andrea is all about and the reason why she created A Fabulous Fete. As a native of Chicago, Andrea grew up surrounded by amazing food and good people, exactly what the city is all about. She focused her studies on communications at Loyola University in the famed Gold Coast neighborhood of downtown Chicago and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations, Advertising and Marketing.

Through working in restaurants during her college years, Andrea gained more of a passion for food and entertaining thus leading to her never-ending love for event planning and weddings. She interned for a national lifestyle PR firm where she designed and managed social media campaigns and events for top tier hotels and restaurants around Chicago.

Upon graduating from college, Andrea and her boyfriend (turned husband) ventured to Northern California so she could further delve into the world of food and wine. Fast-forward about six years, Andrea has spent most of her career doing in-house planning at local wineries and event venues while enjoying her laid-back surroundings in wine country. She and her husband, who works in the wine industry and home-brews beer, reside just outside of Portland, Oregon and live with their eight-year old Sheltie, Marley, and three-year old miniature Aussie, Diego. In addition to running A Fabulous Fete, Andrea acts as Managing Editor and writes for the lifestyle site, Best Friends for Frosting.
